EES technology camp gets students excited about learning

GLASGOW — Eastern Elementary students McKenzie Pedigo and Chloe Martin laughed while their recorded words were turned into a song through the Songify application on an iPad at the Wildcat “APPtitude” summer camp.

The summer camp, which runs from June 10 through June 14, is a technology focused instruction where students can work with podcast, vodcast, digital storytelling and digital art. This camp was made possible through a 21st Century Community Learning grant. Stacy Hammer, Eastern Elementary 21st Century Community Learning grant coordinator, said in this digital age, early exposure to technology is pivotal.
