4:31 AFTERNOON UPDATE: BCSO investigates fatal crash; 2 sent to hospital for injuries

TEMPLE HILL — 4:31 update:

The Barren County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon near Temple Hill on the Tompkinsville Road.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroners Office, according to a BCSO press release, and two passengers were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. The investigation into the accident is ongoing. Names of those involved have not been released.

 

2:33 p.m.: The Barren County Sheriff's Office is working the scene of a crash in southern Barren County in which at least one person was killed.

Glasgow Daily Times reporter, Gina Kinslow, is on the scene on Ky. 63 near Temple Hill where a vehicle left the roadway at approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. She reports that unoffically, BCSO says at least one person was killed in the crash. There were two Barren-Metcalfe EMS ambulances on the scene earlier, as well as Barren County Emergency Management Director Tony Richey, who is a resident of Temple Hill.

The scene is now clear.
