Financial matters please administrators

EDMONTON — Metcalfe County school system officials are pleased with the financial condition of the district.

Dwight Ross, finance director, told members of the Metcalfe County Board of Education, the school system has “a very healthy fund balance” of $3.1 million, which is 17 percent of total expenditures, 5.1 percent more than the state average of 11 percent.

“The fund balance is great. It’s way better than the state average,” Ross said.
