No ready answer for why feds drop McCown from indictment

GLASGOW — The reason one sheriff’s deputy was taken off a federal indictment of four deputies and Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton is vague. One that even the deputy and his former lawyer said they don’t know.

“The first I heard of it was from local news,” Deputy Bobby McCown said.

McCown said he never received a letter from the federal prosecutors saying he had been removed from the indictment.
