12:35 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Sheriff's office investigates two theft cases

GLASGOW — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two thefts that occurred over three days and believe the thefts are related.

Sometime between late evening Friday and Saturday morning at the Barren County Road Department on County Barn Road the first theft occurred, according to a press release from the BCSO.

Someone entered the facility through a rear window and took a 1999 Chevrolet 3500 with utility bed license number KJ8297 and a 2002 white Chevrolet 4x4 Silverado with license number KK5406. Also taken with the 3500 were various tools, an air compressor and a water tank, which were in the utility bed. Both vehicles were inside the facility and were county-owned.

The sheriff's office is also investigating an ATV theft on Willie Groce Road that happened during the day Monday. The four-wheeler is a red Honda 300 EX and was removed from a trailer at a residence.
