GLASGOW — A 23-year-old Glasgow woman was killed Wednesday night in a crash on U.S. 68/Ky. 80 in western Barren County.
Amy Eubank was killed in a two-vehicle collision around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Furlong Road and U.S. 68/Ky. 80, according to a press release from the Barren County Sheriff's Office.
Eubank was traveling eastbound in a 1988 Chevrolet Corsica and Leonard Ballard, 30, of Glasgow, was traveling westbound in an unidentified vehicle when the vehicles collided. Eubank was pronounced dead at the scene by Barren County Coroner Mike Swift.
Ballard and five children in his vehicle were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital and were later released. All occupants in Ballard's vehicle were wearing restraints. Eubank, who was eight-months pregnant, was not wearing a seat belt, according to the press release.
Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation by Deputy Kevin Wilson.
