9:25 MORNING UPDATE: Springfield man arrested for DUI following crash

SPRINGFIELD — Kentucky State Police Trooper Joshua Dicken is investigating a collision that occurred at 9:20 p.m. Saturday on Mt. Zion Road, three miles south of Maud. 

Timothy Carney, 29, of Springfield, was driving south on Mt. Zion Road in a 1995 Chevy pickup when he lost control due to ice on the roadway.  Thetruck traveled up an embankment and overturned.

Carney and a passenger, 24-year-old Aaron Moore, also of Springfield, were not wearing seat belts and were uninjured. Another passenger, 33-year-old Nathan Carney, was ejected from and trapped under the truck when it came to a rest. He was transported to the airport by Washington County Emergency Medical Service and airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. 

Carney was arrested and charged with second-degree DUI aggravated and lodged in the Marion County Jail.
