Additions excite, innovate GHS Scottie Band

GLASGOW — About 70 Glasgow High School Scottie Band members kept their feet in a ballerina-like pose with their toes facing outward on Tuesday afternoon’s band camp practice.

Corey Bonds, GHS band instructor, said the dance movements are a new thing the marching band is trying this year to teach the group to control their body movements. He said the new routine is already working out well, keeping those new to band and seasoned veterans alike on their toes.

With a new routine, theme and the construction contract of a permanent band tower approved on Monday, the band is undergoing a lot of positive changes for the coming school year.
