Wine, beer package sales OK in MCNP

CAVE CITY — Visitors to Mammoth Cave National Park, who stop by Caver’s Camp Store near the park’s campground are now able to purchase packaged wine and beer.

The sale of these alcoholic beverages at the store began March 11 at the start of the national park’s tourist season.

The decision to allow the sale of packaged beer and wine came after a request was made by the national park’s concessioner, Forever Resorts, which operates Mammoth Cave Hotel.

“We’ve just had so many requests for it,” said Greg Davis, general manager of Mammoth Cave Hotel. “That’s essentially why we requested it.”
