A Glasgow man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck that occurred around 7 a.m. Monday morning at 14 mile marker on the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway.

Christopher Thomason, 43, was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital Sunday. A spokesperson for the hospital said Monday morning he was listed in critical condition.

Thomason was thrown from the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker 4x4 he was believed to have been driving.

According to a Glasgow Police Department report, Thomason was believed to have been traveling westbound on the parkway when his vehicle left the roadway and traveled into the median before crossing back over and off the right side of the road, striking a rock wall and then traveling back onto the roadway. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Thomason was unresponsive when emergency personnel arrived on the scene and could not offer details on how the wreck occurred, stated the police report.

During the police's investigation of the wreck, what was suspected to be marijuana was found in the vehicle by Glasgow firefighters and logged into evidence at police headquarters. It is not known if Thomason was impaired at the time of the wreck. It is also not known if there were any vehicle or environmental contributing factors relating to the cause of the wreck, according to the police report.
