The fears of a community were confirmed when a body found in a Butler County river was identified as Brandon Tyler Crain, a missing Hart County teenager.
The State Medical Examiner’s Office identified a body found in the Green River on April 28 as Crain, 19, of Munfordville, according to a Kentucky State Police release. A fisherman contacted the Kentucky State Police after finding a body in the river in the Woodbury community.
The cause of death has not been released, but KSP investigators are not suspecting foul play in the death.
“I haven’t heard a ruling yet, and until we hear back from the medical examiner’s office, we’re not going to comment on that,” said Trooper Jonathan Biven, public information officer for the KSP Bowling Green post. “He was found in a river, it’s just that right now.”
