2:25 p.m. AFTERNOON UPDATE: KSP arrests Hart County man in credit card scam

GLASGOW — On Tuesday, July 23,Trooper Jonathan McChesney was dispatched to 4697 Pleasant Hill Road in Hart County to investigate a possible fraudulent use of a credit card complaint. Through the course of the investigation it was determined Justin Dupin, 27, of Upton, was associated with a Nigerian scam that had started through a Craigslist ad. Dupin was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of identity, as well as theft or receiving a stolen credit/debit card. Dupin was lodged in the Hart County Jail later that day. A search warrant was issued for the residence in which items were seized believed to be associated with the crime. The investigation is ongoing. Trooper Jonathan McChesney was assisted by troopers Lonnie Hodges and Timmy Jewell.
