Council OKs land purchase for airport

GLASGOW — Glasgow City Council took steps Monday to help the Glasgow Municipal Airport purchase land that contains obstructions in the approach area.

The council passed a resolution approving the purchase of 0.827 acres at 49 Perkins Road, across Ky. 90 from the airport, for $150,000, with the stipulation that the money will be returned to the city’s general fund once the airport receives anticipated state and federal funds “and when proceeds from the sale of the house when it is removed from the property are received.”
