Glasgow Independent School District responds to civil lawsuit

GLASGOW — Glasgow Independent Schools met in a special called meeting on Tuesday to approve to file an answer to claim in a civil suit of Norbert and Loucinda Kenney vs. AMMJL, LLC for the responsibility of payment for delinquent 2009 property taxes on a property previously owned by AMMJL, LLC.

The defendant along with AMMJL, LLC. and several other entities including: the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library, Glasgow Independent Schools and the Barren County Cooperative Extension were brought in as taxing districts in Barren County who may be entitled to the tax proceeds or affected by the cancellation regarding 2009 Tax Bill #493.
