With three people vying for two spots on the Glasgow Board of Education, the city saw one incumbent and one new person join the ranks of the board.
Dr. Amelia Kiser, a member of the board for the past four years, received the highest amount of votes with 2,497.
“I’m very pleased and humbled and very grateful,” Kiser said Tuesday night.
Kiser is offering her support and help to the newest member of the board, Wade Stone, who beat out Neil Thornbury for the second spot on the board with 2,168 votes.
“I’m honored to be entrusted with a seat on the board and I look forward to working with the board and the employees in the school system,” Stone said.
