Starting them young

GLASGOW — College planning started early for Austin Tracy Elementary kindergartners and first-graders who visited Western Kentucky University-Glasgow this week.

Thursday marked the school’s college day, where each of the grade levels visited different colleges, including Lindsey Wilson College and Campbellsville University. Stephanie Ferguson, Southern Barren Family Resource Center coordinator, said when college is introduced at an early age, kids can have a better idea of what career they want to pursue.
