'We've got that'

TOMPKINSVILLE —

A person could experience sensory overload when visiting Bruton’s Wholesale and Supply Company in Tompkinsville for the very first time. There is so much to see and to take in all at once.

The hardware store offers a wide array of merchandise from appliances and home furnishings to plumbing and electrical supplies and everything else in between. Some merchandise, including Muck boots, are suspended from the ceiling.

Recently, Jeff Freeman shopped at Bruton’s with his father-in-law, Sid Sears.

Freeman first visited the store in the late 1970s.

“I’d never seen a hardware store like this,” he said. “I like it. He’s got everything you need. If a floor person can’t find it for you, find Doc and he’ll get it for you.”
