11:35 MORNING UPDATE: Two injured in single-vehicle crash

PARK CITY — Two people were injured in a Thursday afternoon crash on Park City-Glasgow Road.

Kentucky State Police responded to the scene of an overturned 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier with a person trapped inside at approximately 3:15 p.m., according to a press release from Post 3.

Joshua Combs, 19, of Cave City lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason. The vehicle overturned in the road after striking a tree stump on the left should of the road. Ashley Jewell, 22, residence not provided, and an infant were tranported from the scene to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services, according to the press release.

Combs was flown by Air Methods to University of Louisvile Hospital with multiple injuries.

Trooper Timmy Jewell was assisted at the scene by Barren County Sheriff's Office, Park City Fire and Rescue and Mammoth Cave Fire and Rescue personnel.
