AFTERNOON UPDATE: Body in Butler County currently not connected to Hart Co. teen

GLASGOW — A body that was found by Kentucky State Police in Butler County is the subject of a death investigation, but has not been identified as Brandon Crain.

A body was found in the Green River on Saturday in the Woodbury community of Butler County by a fisherman, and community members have been wondering if it is the body of Brandon Tyler Crain, the 19-year-old who was reported missing in January.

KSP Bowling Green Post public information officer Jonathan Biven said he has received multiple calls asking about the body and said when any identification is made on the body, a press conference would likely be called after the family is notified, but none has been called yet.

Crain was last seen at his mother's home on East Center Street in Munfordville on Jan. 26. He left at about 2 a.m. according to Hart County Sheriff's Office reports in a previous Daily Times story.
