Guthrie schools students

GLASGOW — It took them a few minutes to warm up, but once they did, a Glasgow High School political science class had questions for their congressman on a variety of hot-button issues.

After principal Keith Hale led Republican U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie and a pair of his staff members through the main hallways on the ground floor, with momentary stops in a couple of classrooms and the library, the group paused for a lengthier visit with the pre-advanced-placement class, which was studying civil rights and public policy.
