African Children’s Choir to perform Friday at First United Methodist Church

GLASGOW — Last year, a group from the African’s Children’s Choir sang at Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Jubilee Concert. Another group from the same organization will be performing in Glasgow.

Todd Woodward, member of the arts and humanities team at Highland Elementary and music director at First United Methodist church, first saw African Children’s Choir perform 15 years ago.

“My wife and I went to Bowling Green to see them at First Baptist Church,” Woodward said. “It was totally a life-changing experience for us. It is so moving and unbelievable. They are just so full of joy. They are so happy just to be alive. It’s so inspirational.”
