GLASGOW —

The accuser and accused provided very different accounts Wednesday to the jury deciding whether a Glasgow Police Department lieutenant colonel committed fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), minor injury, in February.

In the end, the Barren District Court six-member panel decided the defendant was not guilty of the crime.

Special prosecutor James Howard told the jury in his opening remarks it was not a complicated case, and he described the evening of Feb. 18 as one full of conflict that eventually led to an intoxicated David Graves’ kicking the woman, causing her to fall. [The Daily Times does not name victims of alleged domestic abuse.]
