GLASGOW — A Glasgow woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. Tuesday on the Hiseville-Goodnight Road.
Kayla Wooten, 20, who was driving a 2001 Toyota Echo, told deputies with the Barren County Sheriff's Office that she turned into a curve too sharp, causing her vehicle to strike a 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Zebediaha Bowles, 17, also of Glasgow, who was traveling into the curve from the opposite direction, according to a press release from the sheriff's office.
Wooten was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries by the Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Service, the press release stated. She was later transferred to the University of Louisville Medical Center and is listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Bowles was not injured in the wreck, according to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office was assisted by firefighters with the Hiseville Volunteer Fire Department.
