The individuals elected to a proposed new board of trustees for T.J. Samson Community Hospital have filed their responses in a federal lawsuit claiming they have infringed on the hospital’s trademark, among other things.
In late May, a group of people who have concerns about the overall direction the hospital has been going under the leadership of the existing board of trustees convened a meeting. At that gathering, individuals who believed they had the right to select a new board – based on how the process was conducted when the hospital was first established in 1926 – elected D.T. Froedge, Wendell Honeycutt, Randall Curry, Dewayne Hatcher, Curtis Peil and Lyon Hutcherson to serve on this new board.
