A Glasgow woman was arrested early Tuesday morning after the Barren County Sheriff's Office responded to a wreck with possible injuries, according to a BCSO press release.
Rebecca J. Coulter, 54, was traveling north on Roseville Road in her 1995 Chevrolet passenger car when her vehicle began to go off the right shoulder of the roadway, and she overcorrected, sending the car back across both lanes of travel into an embankment, according to the BCSO statement. The vehicle then went airborne, traveling approximately 50 feet, landed on its top and slid across a driveway into another embankment, according to the statement.
Coulter had to be removed from the vehicle by mechanical means, after which she was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries by Barren-Metcalfe EMS, according to the statement.
After she was released from the hospital, Coulter was then placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, etc., 0.08, aggravated offense. She was released later Tuesday from the Barren County Detention Center on a $500 surety bond.
BCSO Deputy Adam Bow investigated the accident, and in addition to Barren-Metcalfe EMS, he was assisted by Kentucky State Police, Haywood Volunteer Fire Department and Glasgow Fire Department.
