CASK fundraiser will be Friday

A fundraiser that will benefit Community Action of Southern Kentucky’s senior citizen and children’s programs in a 10-county area, which includes Barren County, is set to take place later this week.

The Community Big Shot Sporting Clays Tournament will take place Friday at the Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City.

For a $50 fee, each shooter will receive lunch, 100 targets, a reception at Cave Valley Winery with entertainment and the chance to win cash prizes, as well as door prizes, and the title of Community Big Shot, according to a press release.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the agency’s senior and children’s programs because “those are the programs that are always lacking,” Charity Parrish, public information coordinator for Community Action of Southern Kentucky, said.
