GLASGOW — A fire at the Dana Corporation at about 1 p.m. Thursday morning only caused a small amount of damage, according to fire officials.
The Glasgow Fire Department responded to a call of a fire in the heat treat area of the Dana plant, at 1320 W. Main St., according to a release by the GFD.
Firefighters found a fire in a filter system of one of the machines and it was contained to the system. The sprinkler in the filter kept the fire down until firefighters could extinguish it completely, the release stated.
Some damage to the filters was reported and a small amount of smoke was quickly removed by the exhaust system.
GFD personnel were on the scene for a little more than an hour, according to the release.
