10:23 MORNING UPDATE: MCNP tours to begin at 10:30 a.m.


Cave City Road, Mammoth Cave Parkway and Brownsville Road are open at Mammoth Cave National Park.

Cave tours will begin at 10:30 a.m. today on an altered schedule, according to a news release from the park. The Historic Entrance will not be used today because of cold wind chill temperatures at the entrance passage. All tours will be routed to New Entrance and Frozen Niagara.
Green River Ferry remains closed because of high water.
The following roads are still closed in the Park:
  • South/North Green River Ferry Road
  • Flint Ridge Road
  • South/North Houchin Ferry
  • Joppa Ridge Road
