Friends plan poker run for Barren Lake

GLASGOW — When most hear the words “poker run” they automatically think it’s an event involving motorcycles, but members of Friends of Barren River Lake and Park say it doesn’t matter if participants are driving motorcycles, cars or boats. All are invited to take part in the third annual Poker Run on Barren River on Saturday.

“We’re advertising this lake or land,” said David Holsclaw, co-chair of the event, adding all who want to participate by riding motorcycles, cars or other types of vehicles are invited to join in the fun.
