11:15 MORNING UPDATE: Green River Ferry open; cave tours resume today

GLASGOW — Green River Ferry and Green River Ferry Road are now open, according to a news release from Mammoth Cave National Park.

The ferry had been closed due to icy conditions and mechanical issues, according to a previous release. Maintenance crews examined the roads and the ferry Wednesday morning before reopening the area.

Cave tours will resume at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, and the visitor center and Mammoth Cave Hotel will operate on regular winter schedules, according to the previous release.

Meanwhile, Flint Ridge and Houchin Ferry roads remain closed.
