10:48 MORNING UPDATE: I65 at 43 mile marker clear

GLASGOW — 10:36 UPDATE: All lanes are cleared for traffic now, according to Wes Watt, public information officer for the Kentucky Department of Highways in Bowling Green.

8:36 a.m. All three lanes of Interstate 65 southbound has been shut down at the 43 mile marker due to icy road conditions that developed after firefighters extinguished a tractor-trailer that had caught fire. The highway is expected to be closed for about an hour, according to Trooper Jonathan Biven with the Kentucky State Police in Bowling Green.
