6 votes cast to elect new hospital board

GLASGOW — Six votes were cast by descendants of original T.J. Samson Community Hospital stockholders Saturday morning to elect a new six-person hospital board of trustees.

Led by stockholder descendant D.T. Froedge, a group of community members have spent the last year arguing that T.J. Samson is no longer acting as a community hospital. Descendants of the original stockholders have the right to reinstate previously defunct stockholder voting rights, Froedge has stated, and on Saturday, the descendants did just that.
