5:45 p.m. SATURDAY OBITUARY UPDATE: Larry R. Alstatt - Smiths Grove

GLASGOW — Larry R. Alstatt, 68, of Smiths Grove, died Friday, April, 19, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

Born in Fort Smith, Ark., he was the son of the late Wiliam Therodore and Mary Ann Sloss Alstatt. Mr. Alstatt was a self-employed appliance serviceman and a retired government inspector with the USDA. Mr Alstatt was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie Byrd Alstatt; two daughters, Diana Hamilton and husband Calvin, of Cedarville, Ark., and Anna Alstatt, of Fort Smith, Ark.; one son, Darren Alstatt, of Smiths Grove; five grandchildren, Josh Alstatt, Cassie Hamilton, Dalton Hamilton, Raven Alstatt and Mary Alstatt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene McGinnis and Juanita Kimmell; and one brother, J.W. Alstatt.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday at the funera home.
