Campaign hopes to ‘stick a fork’ in cancer

Glasgow Daily Times

GLASGOW — Relay for Life of Barren County is hoping to “stick a fork in cancer,” and is looking for the community’s help.

For its latest fundraising scheme, Stick a Fork in Cancer, the local Relay committee has commissioned six over-sized wooden forks to be placed in lawns across Barren County, said Abby Harvey, Barren County American Cancer Society community representative. For a $30 donation to ACS one of the giant forks will be placed in a yard of the donor’s choice. For $10, the victim can find out who chose to have them forked, but they will have to fork up $30 to have the wooden fork passed along to a new victim. A donation of $25 will tell who did the forking, and allow the original victim to pass the fork back.
