Anthony Gamel, 23, pleaded not guilty to multiple drug charges in Barren District Court on Friday.
Gamel, of Glasgow, was arrested Nov. 11 by Glasgow Police Department Sgt. Michael Burton and charged with first-degree possession of controlled substance, first offense, drug unspecified; first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, first offense; and illegal possession of legend drug, according to the GPD citation obtained at the
Burton allegedly saw a male purchase pills from Gamel at the Shell station on U.S. 31E south of Glasgow. Burton then looked inside Gamel's vehicle and found three white pills. Gamel also had legend drugs on his person, according to a GPD citation in Gamel's court file.
He was released from the Barren County Detention Center Nov. 12 on a $2,500 surety bond, according to the jail website.
Gamel's attorney, Ken Garrett and Assistant Barren County Attorney Doug Hardin, could not be reached for comment.
