1:15 AFTERNOON UPDATE: BCSO reminds residents to be mindful of elderly, others in cold weather

GLASGOW —

With colder temperatures moving into the area, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone to check on their neighbors, especially the elderly, to make sure they are staying warm.

Should a situation warrant help, call 651-2771, and BCSO will notify the proper authorities to help.

The sheriff’s office will also conduct welfare checks around the county, and the names of individuals to be checked on may be provided at that same phone number.
