MEETING: Ambulance Service Corporation Board of Directors

REPORTS: Director Mike Swift reported for the month of November, the Barren-Metcalfe ambulance service responded to 592 requests for service. Of those, 482 were from the Glasgow-Barren County station and 110 were from the Metcalfe County station. For the year-to-date, the service has responded to 6,776 calls. Of those, 5,720 were from the GlasgowBarren County station and 1,056 were from the Metcalfe County station.
Swift also gave the financial report for the year-to-date. From the period ending Oct. 31, the service had a billing amount of $1,134,537. The service had collections amounting to $833,055. Swift also reported the service has expended 34 percent of the total budget amount for this fiscal year. He also reported the emergency services building located at the Glasgow Municipal Airport should be completed in three weeks. Tammy Sloan from South Central Bank answered questions from the board about the corporation’s securities and deposits at the bank.
ACTIONS: The board approved the minutes of the last months meeting, the operations, financial and billing services reports from Mike Swift. The board also approved a bid from Volunteer Firefighters Insurance Service to provide coverage for 2009 for the ambulance service in the amount of $44,234.35.
