— ACTION: Magistrates took the following action: appointed Dr. John Miller to the Metcalfe County Board of Health for a two-year term, expiring Dec. 30, 2010; approved Kentucky Association of Counties lease interest refunds; approved the monthly financial report; budget amendment in the amount of $1,600; interfund transfers; claims; to increase quarterly payment to animal shelter from $6,875 to $7,200 per quarter; appointed Ann Jones and Chris Huffman to the Metcalfe County Extension Service Council; close out the county’s 2004 FEMA project; agreed to have county attorney to speak to a contractor who has not signed a contract regarding work on the Jack Sparks Bridge and to ask that the contract be signed before the magistrates’ Dec. 23 meeting.
REPORTS: Judge Greg Wilson gave an update on the FEMA project. Sheriff Rondal Shirley reported changes in his current budget and told magistrates that the bottom line totals of his budget did not change, even though money in certain accounts were moved to cover various expenses.
