— ACTIONS: Approved the following: minutes of Nov. 10 council meeting; resolution recognizing Sen. Richie Sanders for his years of dedication and support to the city of Glasgow; the second reading of an ordinance relating to the placement of signs; and the first reading of an ordinance amending to the city’s sewer use ordinance for housekeeping modifications and to comply with Kentucky Division of Water established local limits for effluent discharge into the sanitary sewer system. Tabled, after first reading, an ordinance that would close a portion of Water Street between Lewis and Morgan streets to allow the street committee and Department of Public Works superintendent Jack Chadwell the opportunity to assess the location. Adopted a resolution authorizing the transfer of 389 square feet of city property on Cross Street right-of-way at U.S. 31E to Madison-Smith Machine and Tool Co. to remedy a corner of the building encroaching on the right-of-way; and also adopted a resolution authorizing and approving the issuance by the Glasgow-Barren County Public Library Corporation of its lease revenue bonds, Series 2008, and approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of a lease and sublease. Recognized council members Jesse Brown, Eldon Smith and William Webb for their years of dedicated service to the city of Glasgow.
