The Barren County School Board remains unchanged in its make up after Tuesday’s election.
Tim England, Kenneth Edwards and Tammy Groce ran unopposed for continued four-year terms on the board.
England, Edwards and Groce expressed appreciation toward their voters.
“I’m excited to be serving on the board again with such a wonderful group,” Edwards said. “I’m looking forward to continued achievements.”
Groce added: “I’ve enjoyed my time on the board and I’ve enjoyed getting to know all of the people that I’ve been able to work with. I look forward to four more years of service.”
England said he hopes to help the board be able to improve the district.
“I think, from working with other school board members, administrators and the teaching staff along with the support of the people, we’ve been able to move the district forward and we’ll continue to do that.”
England has served on the board 16 years, Edwards for 14 years and Groce for 13 years.
England received 798 votes, Groce received 608 votes and Edwards received 1,524 votes, according to the Barren County Clerk’s Office.
