Steve Jones, theater director, says the upcoming season is probably the most diverse of any entertainment line-up the theater has presented. “We’ve got country. We’ve got stand-up comedy. We’ve got ‘1964 The Tribute,’ is coming back again. We’ve got big band music with the Glen Miller Orchestra and we’re trying for the first time a theatrical touring show, the off Broadway touring musical version of ‘Gilligan’s Island,’ which will be a really fun show,” he said. The 2008-09 theater’s season is starting a bit early compared to the 2007-08 season. “I think we’ve started the season this early before, but last year I know we didn’t start until September or October, I think,” Jones said. “It’s just the availability of the artists. We tell people our season generally runs from August or September through April or May.” Season subscriptions are available. The theater is offering two season subscription packages, and within each package are two seating choices. Package A includes all seven shows. The price of Package A for patrons who prefer seating on the main floor, or the first row of the balcony is $175. Patrons who choose Package A, but would rather sit elsewhere in the balcony, the price is $120 for all seven shows. Package B includes six shows minus comedian Ralphie May, whose show tends to be for mature audiences. The price for Package B for patrons who would like seating on the main floor or the first row of the balcony is $152. The price for Package B for patrons who would rather sit elsewhere in the balcony is $107. Those who purchase season subscriptions will be required to pay an additional $1 per order. Patrons who would like to renew their season subscriptions may do so now, Jones said. “On the seventh, next Monday, new season subscriptions go on sale. So, if somebody who wants to subscribe and hasn’t subscribed before, they can do it on the seventh,” he said. “And then individual ticket sales for every single show in the season, including the very last one all the way up in May, go on sale July 14 at 8 a.m.” Season subscriptions must be ordered either in person, or by calling the theater at 270-361-2101. Season subscriptions cannot be purchased online, Jones said.
