Drug apprehensions and arrests dominated weekend law enforcement activity.
On Saturday, approximately 30 marijuana plants were confiscated from 8125 Roseville Road following an anonymous tip, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
A search warrant was obtained for the home, where police allege they found more processed marijuana and paraphernalia. No arrests have been made in the case, but the investigation continues.
Deputies Kevin Wilson and Bobby McCown investigated and were assisted by Detective Rusty Anderson, Deputy Matt Mutter and the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force.
On Sunday, just before 1 a.m., a Glasgow teen was arrested after police allege that he was spotted drinking beer in the drive-thru of Glasgow’s White Castle.

Officers stopped the vehicle following the observation. Police allege that a strong odor of alcohol was detected coming from the driver and that he stated he had smoked marijuana.
Police also allege that a plastic bag of hydrocodone pills were found after a search.
GPD Officer Jason Richerson made the arrest and was assisted by Sgt. Rodney Sponhouse.
In a separate Sunday incident, a Glasgow man was arrested for marijuana possession after police found a 5-year-old boy on Ky. 1297.
GPD officers asked the young boy where he lived and the juvenile took them to 104D Belfast Way. The subject, Alex A. Smith, 22, opened the door and police allege that a strong odor of marijuana was detected.
Police also allege that in the bedroom, in plain sight, was a wooden box with marijuana on top of it. Inside the box was a plastic baggie with marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a marijuana pipe with residue, rolling papers, a plastic bag with marijuana butts and a screwdriver with residue.
Smith was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. GPD Officer Aaron Bennett made the arrest.
