On June 27, just before midnight, emergency personnel were dispatched to a residence on Tompkinsville Road in reference to a shooting.
Wendy Morgan, 31, of Glasgow, suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by Barren Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson hospital where she was treated and released. Temple Hill Voluntary Fire Department assisted on the scene.
Alfrado Calihua, 27, of Glasgow, was charged with attempted murder - domestic violence and five counts of wanton endangerment, 1st degree. He was arrested and lodged in the Barren County Jail.
Deputy Adam Minor investigated and Deputy Greg Kinslow assisted.
Horse Cave police respond to accidents
Horse Cave police chief Alan Shirley investigated a single-vehicle accident on East Main Street on June 27, around 6:30 p.m.
Involved was a 17-year-old that lost control and struck two utility poles that caused the street to be closed between Yancy and Comer streets for about five hours. The 17-year-old was not injured.
Around 7:20 a.m. on June 27, Horse Cave police chief Alan Shirley also investigated another collision on US 31W in front of Hart County Health Care in Horse Cave that sent one man to the hospital.
A Hart County Solid Waste truck was southbound on US 31W, when the driver attempted to make a right turn into Caverna Memorial Hospital.
Robert Bunch,25, of Cave City was driving a 2000 Honda motorcycle and left the road in order to avoid colliding with the truck and overturned. Bunch was transported by Hart County ambulance service to T.J. Samson hospital for injuries where he was treated and released.
