A Barren County man was arrested after a suspicious vehicle complaint Wednesday around 3 p.m. on Owens Road.
Upon arrival, Deputy Steve Runyon made contact with Gregory W. Richardson, 36, of 113 Dugantown Estates, Cave City. While speaking with Richardson, the odor of burned marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle.
Richardson gave consent to search and deputies found a partial marijuana cigarette in the ash tray along with two baggies of marijuana, rolling papers, prescription pills and other paraphernalia.
Richardson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in the original container.
He was lodged in the Barren County Correction Center with a $750 bond and has since been released.
Deputy Steve Runyon investigated and was assisted by Deputy Mike Wood.
