Two Barren County men were arrested Friday after deputies with the Barren County Sheriff’s Department discovered items used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Garrick L. Myatt, 24, of 871 Goodnight Hiseville Road, Cave City, and Bobby W. Vaughn, 31, of 346 Lohden Road, Glasgow, were charged with first degree manufacturing methamphetamine and first degree knowing and possessing anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Both were lodged in the Barren County Corrections Center, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.
The arrests were made after sheriff’s deputies received a complaint from the Glasgow Police Department stating that methamphetamine was going to be made at 346 Lohden Road.
The officers spoke with the men at the residence, who agreed to allow the officers to search the property.
A tank, which tested positive for anhydrous ammonia, was discovered on the property.
Salt, Coleman fuel, two AC generators, hoses and coffee filters were found in the bed of a 2005 GMC truck at the residence, the report said.
No bonds had been set for the men at press time.
