Man arrested in burglary attempt Staff report Glasgow Daily Times GLASGOW — A Tennessee man was arrested early this morning while attempting to burglarize Town and Country Drugs.
Layne Roy Lyndell, of 138 Henley Circle in Altamont, Tenn., was charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance, according to the Glasgow Police Department. Officers received a call of a burglary alarm at the drug store after 7:30 this morning. Upon arrival, the suspect saw the police and took off through the store toward the rear. Officers pursued him toward the back of the store and had to wrestle the subject to the ground to restrain him, the GPD said. Police allege the subject was carrying a large crowbar and a Valium. Officer Jason Richerson made the arrest and was assisted by officer Larry Dale Martin.
