Wrecks cause injuries to three

— Two accidents Saturday in Glasgow injured three motorists.
The first occurred at 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of South Lewis Street and East Main Street. Austin Reams, 71, of Bonnieville, was traveling northbound in a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant when he approached the intersection and was waved through by another driver because of heavy traffic on East Main.
As Reams went through the intersection, his vehicle was struck on the left side by a 1994 Ford Explorer driven by Adam J. Lynch, 19, of Burkesville, according to the Glasgow Police Department.
Lynch said he was traveling eastbound on Main Street, approaching South Lewis Street, when Reams pulled out in front of him.
Two passengers in Reams’ vehicle, Venesa Crain, 52, and Mickey Crain, 47, both of Cave City, were injured in the crash.
GPD Officer Ken Thomas investigated.
The second accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on West Main Street. Billy J. Blakey, 48, of Canmer, was driving a 1995 Ford Probe and attempting to make a left-hand turn out of the PBI Bank parking lot when a motorist on West Main Street stopped to let him out, police said.
As Blakey made his turn, he pulled into the path of a 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Charles E. Goad, 32, of Austin and the two vehicles collided.
Goad suffered minor in-juries as a result of the crash.
