Glasgow police warn of scam

The Glasgow Police Department is issuing an alert about another scam operation.
It begins when a person makes contact through the Internet. The person asks if they can mail a package to the victim’s address, according to GPD.
Once the person has received the package, instructions are given to mail it to another address, usually outside the country.
In these circumstances, the GPD says the original package was ordered with a stolen credit card or stolen identity. If the package is shipped out of the country, the paper trail is hard for authorities to track.
Anyone who feels they have been the victim of this scam is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.
