LOCAL SPORTS BRIEFS Special and wire reportsSpecial to the Daily Times After the first game, there will be a heritage free throw contest for those who played at the county schools prior to consolidation in 1974.
Admission at the door will be $2 and donations will be accepted throughout the night. Proceeds will be donated to the Chris Martin Memorial Scholarship and special projects for the Barren County Alumni Association. Senior players from the squads, along with the heritage free throw players, will be introduced. For more information call the school at 651-6315. Potential baseball and softball officials meeting is Jan. 14 The KHSAA is looking for softball and baseball officials for the upcoming season. Interested individuals can attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. at Monroe County High School. If you are interested in officiating or want to attend the meeting, call Mark Woodcock at 270-651-8777.
