Police provide artist’s sketch of suspect By GINA KINSLOW Glasgow Daily Times GAMALIEL — An artist’s sketch of the man who robbed South Central Bank Tuesday morning has been released by the Kentucky State Police.
The sketch was rendered based on information obtained from eyewitnesses at the scene, said Trooper Billy Gregory with the Kentucky State Police in Columbia. The suspect is believed to be a white man who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, weighing between 160 to 175 pounds. He also appears to be in his late 20s and is described as having light colored eyes. The man was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a dark jacket and snow gloves. He should be considered armed and dangerous, Gregory said. Police are looking for a green 1998 Nissan truck with the Tennessee registration plates of 839-BDN. The truck has white metallic signs on its doors that read “Breathe Wright.” Originally, state police issued a statement that they were looking for a Nissan car with black trim. Gregory said the Nissan car is no longer being considered as a potential vehicle of interest. “What we found was that the word car was being used to describe a vehicle,” he said. “It was a generic term. There was never a car seen.” The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department received a phone call around 9 a.m. Tuesday that the bank had been robbed. The man entered the bank and indicated he was armed. He demanded money and received an undisclosed amount. Gregory would not disclose how much money the suspect stole. The man was believed to have been traveling west on Ky. 87. As of Wednesday afternoon, the state police had no leads regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, Gregory said. Anyone with information is urged to contact the state police at (800) 222-5555, or call 911. Surrounding Kentucky and Tennessee authorities, as well as the FBI have been notified.
